How to regulate AutoLinea blocks and engines
Technical Tips
Did you know that after purchasing a new block or engine, the end consumer must register it with the responsible traffic department?
CONTRAN Resolution No. 968, of June 2022, establishes that it is up to the end consumer to duly register and link a new numbering on the blocks or engines with the traffic departments, according to article 28 of the resolution.
In the case of AutoLinea models, any numbering found on the blocks and engines is exclusively for internal controls and traceability.
The engraved numbering does not replace the numbering obligatorily entered by the state traffic departments responsible, which is made up of 9 (nine) digits, two of which are the abbreviation of the state where the state department responsible for registering the vehicle is located, in accordance with article 34 of the resolution. Example: PR9999999
The engraved numbering does not replace the mandatory numbering that will be engraved by the state traffic departments, which consists of 9 (nine) nine digits: 2 (two) digits with the acronym of the state where the part will be registered and 6 (six) numeric digits.
